Mowing and Lawn Care

Lawn Mowing and Lawn Care

Lawn Mowing

Regular lawn mowing service throughout the year.

We can provide this on a weekly or fortnightly basis. It consists of mowing the lawn and trimming the edges.

Ideal for home owners who can no longer mow the lawn or who are time-strapped and wish to enjoy their lawn in their leisure time.

Landlords can improve letting opportunities for a property by presenting a well cut and managed lawn to prospective tenants.

For Larger Lawns

Our ride on mower allows us to offer grass cutting for large lawns and public grassed areas. Services can include a cut and drop or removal of cuttings to a waste removal service provider.

Lawn Care and Maintenance

All year-round lawn care and maintenance to keep your lawn looking its best.

January - weather dependent, winter feed could be applied.

February - mowing can start, a spring feed can be applied, weeds tackled and moss treatments can start.

March, April, May - mowing, moss treatments and weed treatments, aeration and scarifying, overseeding and topdressing and early summer feed.

June, July, August - mowing, summer feed and watering.

September, October, November - mowing, weed treatment, autumn feed, aeration, scarifying, overseeding and topdressing and leaf collecting.

December - mowing, winter feed and final lawn tidy.

This is only a guide. Due to the great British weather some operations are weather dependent so may vary when they are completed.

We will work together to design a programme specifically for your lawn’s needs that works within your budget.

What each operation does.

Removal of moss - moss normally thrives in shady areas. If left untreated it will overtake the grass plants and kill off the lawn. Treatment is through a lawn sand or liquid iron.

Feeding - using a granular fertiliser will supply your lawn with nutrients to maintain a healthy sward giving it a lush appearance.

Aeration - by punching holes in the lawn it relieves compaction in the soil and helps the gas exchange between stagnant air and fresh oxygen. It also allows nutrients, seed and moisture to get into the soil structure.

Scarifying - a machine operation that slices through the grass sward that will remove dead organic matter from the base. If left, this prevents water and feed reaching the base of the plant and also the soil.

Autumn Clean Up

Autumn is the time for us to prepare your lawn for winter.

They may look nice: autumn coloured leaves across your lawn, but if you leave them there you run the risk of plant die back and invite potential diseases in the grass. The leaves will also provide shelter to many garden pests.

We will come and with our petrol blowers clear up the leaves and other debris.
